Octomore Edition 13.2 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, part of the Impossible Equation series. It measures 137.3 PPM and was bottled at 58.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2022, making it five years old. It matured in Fernando de Castilla Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose combines thick peat smoke, stewed plums, dark sherry, leather and roasted nuts. The palate is oily, with rich smoke, raisins, dark chocolate, spice and a hint of sea salt. The finish is long and warm, with smoke and sherry together.
