Octomore Edition 13.3 (2022) (70cl, 61.1%)

Octomore Edition 13.3 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, part of the Impossible Equation Series. It is bottled at 61.1% in a 70cl bottle and measures 129.3 PPM. The barley comes from a single Islay farm, from Lorgba Field and Irene's Field. The whisky is five years old and was matured in a combination of Bourbon, Rivesaltes and Dubbel Gerijpt/RIC casks. The nose combines salty sea air, ash, vanilla cream, light citrus and warm peat smoke. On the palate it is strongly smoky, with honey, roasted barley, white chocolate, spice and fruit. The finish is long, warm and smoky.
