Octomore 14.1 is a five year old Islay single malt from the 2023 Octomore releases, a distillery bottling in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2017 from Scots-grown Concerto barley peated to 128.9ppm and matured entirely in American whiskey casks.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 59.6% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration.
The nose combines smoked vanilla, caramel and toffee with sooty smoke, coconut and flaked almonds. On the palate, bright citrus and smoke meet charred oak, beach bonfire embers, pear, green apple and a little heather honey. The finish brings butterscotch, vanilla, salt spray and burnt heather.
