Octomore Edition 14.1 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, with a peat level of 128.9 PPM. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled on 12 July 2023 at 59.6%, after maturing in first-fill Bourbon casks. The barley is Concerto, grown in Scotland. It is a limited edition.
The nose combines peat with sea breeze, smoked ham, pepper and a generous measure of fruit. Smoke and peat meet fruit, vanilla, caramel and pepper on the palate. The finish is medium long, with sweet touches, citrus and smoke.
