Octomore 14.3 is a five year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, released towards the end of 2023. It was distilled in 2017 from 100% Islay barley of the Concerto strain, grown on Octomore farm and harvested in 2016, and peated to 214.2ppm.
Half of the whisky matured in first fill ex-American whisky casks and half in second fill wine casks. It is bottled in a 70cl bottle at 61.4% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration.
The official notes find hot sweet mash, biscuity malt, peat smoke and stone fruit on the nose. The palate brings delicate oak, smouldering peat and creamy porridge, and the finish is malted barley and earthy smoke.
