Old Fitzgerald 9 Year Bourbon 100 Proof (75cl, 50%)

A bottled-in-bond wheated Kentucky bourbon from Heaven Hill, aged nine years and bottled at 100 proof (50%). It comes in a 750ml decanter and belongs to the distillery's bi-annual Decanter Series. The mash bill is 75% corn, 20% wheat and 5% malted barley. As a bottled-in-bond whiskey, it was distilled in a single season at one distillery and aged at least four years in a bonded warehouse. The decanter takes its inspiration from the diamond-cut decanters Old Fitzgerald first released in the 1950s. The nose has raspberry, peach, honey graham cracker and baking spice. The palate brings honey-roasted nuts, butterscotch, baked apple pie and caramel. The finish is long and gently drying, with toasted oak, white pepper and cinnamon.
