Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky (75cl)

Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky is a bourbon from the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series. It commemorates 22 October 1910, when a fire on the bottling line halted production and the mature bourbon waiting to be bottled was stored temporarily in a second barrel. This expression recreates that accident by moving the bourbon into a second, heavily charred oak barrel at 100 proof. The nose has buttercream, sticky toffee, maple syrup and toasted oak, with baked apple and a hint of cedar and roasted coffee. The palate shows oatmeal raisin cookie, milk chocolate, caramel corn and butterscotch, with cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long and slightly dry, with charred oak, leather and vanilla.
