Old Grand-Dad 7 Year Old Bottled in Bond Bourbon (50%)

Old Grand-Dad 7 Year Old Bottled in Bond is a straight Kentucky bourbon made at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont. It follows the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897: distilled in one season at one distillery, aged at least seven years in a bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). The mash bill is high in rye, at 27%. The nose is bold and spicy, with rye spice, black pepper, toasted oak, brown sugar, vanilla and dark fruit. The palate is full and chewy, with charred oak, caramel, cinnamon, orange peel and dark cocoa. The finish is long and dry, with oak spice, leather and rye grain.
