Old Man Winter is a bourbon from Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled at 54.9% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It is a blend of two bourbons: one of nearly nine years old from Indiana, and a six-year-old Kentucky pot still wheated bourbon. Each release is made in very small batches, often from just one to three barrels.
The notes describe a rich, fruit-forward palate of honeydew, white grape and grapefruit, with rye spice, white pepper and a little oak. The finish is long and warm, with a touch of citrus and warming spice.
