Old Particular Ardlair 12 Years Old is an independent bottling from Douglas Laing, made from Ardlair single malt distilled in 2012 and matured for twelve years. It belongs to the Old Particular series, which puts distillery character and the influence of the cask first.
The nose offers vanilla, honey and malt with ripe apple, pear, citrus and soft oak. The palate is soft and round, with yellow fruit, vanilla, caramel and sweet malt, plus light spice and subtle wood. The finish is pleasantly long, with vanilla, ripe fruit, malt and a gentle, spicy warmth.
