Oremus Mandolás Dry Furmint 2023 Tokaj (75cl, 13%)

Mandolás is a dry white Furmint from the Oremus estate in Tokaj, Hungary, a region known for its sweet wines. The estate has made it since 2000, using Furmint clones from the Petrács plot, its oldest vineyard, which is over 50 years old. The grapes are hand-picked. Fermentation takes place 85% in stainless steel and 15% in new Hungarian oak, and 70% of the wine then rests in Hungarian oak with weekly lees stirring, the rest staying in steel. The 2023 is young and fruit-driven, with fresh aromas, body and lively acidity.
