Paul John Bold is an Indian single malt from Goa, in a 70cl bottle at 46%.
It is a smoky, spiced whisky. Honey, spice and a bourbon-like liquorice note sit over the first hint of smoke on the nose. The palate is silky, with oak-tinged honey, a hefty spice and a cloudy smoke that leaves peaty soot behind.
Smoked mocha and delicate spices lead into a weighty finish, complex yet bold.
