Paul John Bold is a peated single malt from India, bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration, which gives it more texture and aromatic weight. It is described as smoky, spicy and dry, though not an extremely smoky whisky. The peat is balanced by a subtle sweetness, and the finish has a clean, almost Islay-like character with a warmer undertone. The nose offers dry smoke, charcoal and ash, then vanilla, toasted grain and light citrus. The palate is robust but controlled, with pepper, malt, soft oak and a little sweetness. The finish is dry and smoky, of medium-long length.
