Mithuna is an Indian single malt from Paul John, Batch 02 of the Zodiac Series, which was made for export. The name refers to the Gemini zodiac sign. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 58% ABV without dilution. Maturation took place in Goa, where the tropical climate speeds up the interaction between spirit and wood. The nose is honey, ripe malt, floral notes, soft spices and an elegant wood influence. The palate is full and oily, with vanilla, light bitterness, spices and warm grain notes. The finish is long, with lingering spiciness and soft wood.
