This is an Indian single malt from Paul John, Batch 6 of its Select Cask range, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is finished in handpicked Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and is described as around seven years old. Pedro Ximenez is known for its rich sweetness and very dark colour, and the cask passes both to the whisky as it matures. The aroma is layered, with fig and apricot and hints of banana.
