Paul John – Pedro Ximenez Select Cask Indian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 48%)

This is an Indian single malt from Paul John, part of the Select Cask series, in a 70cl bottle at 48% abv. It is finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, understood to be for two years after five years in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks. The nose brings figs, apricots and tropical fruit. On the palate, malty notes mix with creamy butterscotch, dried fruit and Christmas cake, and the finish is orange peel and chocolate fudge.
