Peerless – Cognac Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 53.5%)

Peerless Cognac Finish is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 53.5% ABV. It begins as Peerless Small Batch Bourbon, which then spends additional time in barrels that previously held cognac. The spirit therefore draws on two separate casks, bringing fruity, floral and nutty notes from the cognac barrels alongside the rich, sweet and spicy character of the bourbon. The nose gives fresh raisins, toffee pudding, caramel apple, plums, toasted honey, vanilla bean and maple syrup. On the palate come cranberry raisin bread, port wine, chocolate, leather and baked apricot, with a lingering pear note.
