Peerless Double Oak Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

Peerless Double Oak is a small-batch bourbon from Kentucky Peerless in Louisville, sold in a 750ml bottle. It began when leaky barrels forced the team to move whiskey into fresh new charred oak casks, and it became a permanent release in September 2021. Each barrel is exposed to two casks, taking two full extractions from new American charred oak. The whiskey is made with a sweet mash, bottled at barrel proof with no water added, and not chill filtered. The nose offers sweet oak, orange zest, cedar, tobacco and herbs. Honey sweetness on the palate gives way to cinnamon, spicy oak and leather, and the finish is long and rich with toasted oak over sweet undertones.
