Peerless Small Batch Bourbon (75cl)

Peerless Small Batch is a barrel-proof Kentucky straight bourbon from Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co., in a 750ml bottle. It is bottled without chill filtration and with no water added. The distillery uses sweet mash fermentation, which means no spent stillage is returned to the fermenter. The bourbon goes into the barrel at 107 proof and is aged for a minimum of four years. The company traces its roots to Henderson, Kentucky, and was revived in Louisville. The nose is honeysuckle and citrus zest, with cedar and spicy oak. Caramel and vanilla on the palate lead to toasted oak, baking spice and a faint floral note. The finish is long, moving between vanilla and citrus and dark cocoa, cinnamon and spicy oak.
