Penderyn – Dylan Sherrywood (70cl, 41%)

Penderyn Dylan Sherrywood is a limited Welsh single malt, the third release in the distillery's Icons of Wales series, which follows Penderyn Independence. It marks the centenary of the birth of Dylan Thomas, the Welsh writer and poet (1914-1953). The whisky was aged in bourbon barrels and then finished in sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 41% in a 70cl bottle. The nose brings sugar sweets, creamy caramel, vanilla, fresh green apple and stewed berries. On the palate, cream sherry sits alongside white grape and melon, leading to a medium-long finish of mixed fruit.
