Penderyn – Gold Series Rich Oak 46% (70cl, 46%)

Penderyn Rich Oak is a Welsh single malt from the Gold Series, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is not chill filtered. The spirit is distilled in Penderyn's Faraday copper pot still, using Welsh malted barley and spring water from the Brecon Beacons. It was matured first in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in rich oak casks. The nose is vanilla, honey, toffee and orchard fruits, with subtle oak spice and a hint of citrus. The palate is creamy, with caramel, dark fruits, nutmeg and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruits, dark chocolate and gentle spices.
