Penderyn – Legend (70cl, 40%)

Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from malted barley and water from the Brecon Beacons, and distilled once in Penderyn's Faraday still, a single copper pot still. The whisky is matured first in ex-bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace, then finished in ex-Madeira wine casks. The nose is lively, with cream toffee, rich fruit and raisins. The palate is smooth and sweet, with tropical fruit, raisins, vanilla and a little citrus. The finish is medium in length, with lingering sweetness, gentle spice and light oak.
