Penderyn – Legend (70cl)

Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt in the classic style of Penderyn, the only working distillery in Wales, which stands in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The distillery was founded in 1998 and released its first whisky two years later. It is made from malted barley, distilled twice in copper stills and matured in ex-bourbon and Tennessee whiskey casks, with a light finish in Madeira casks at the end. It is bottled without chill-filtering. The nose has fresh apples and citrus with toffee and sultanas. The palate is velvety and rich with dried fruit, sweet with a touch of bitterness, and the long finish leaves a taste of Madeira cake and raisins.
