Penderyn Rich Oak is a Welsh whisky in a 70cl bottle. It begins its maturation in ex-bourbon barrels and is then finished in a selection of rejuvenated European ex-wine casks.
The nose is sweet, with dark chocolate, cinnamon and pepper, followed by green apple, mango, banana and guava. The palate is rich and complex, with a creamy texture, vanilla, oak and cinnamon, and a touch of nutty caramel. The finish is creamy vanilla that is slow to fade.
