Penderyn – Yma O Hyd Icons of Wales No. 10 Edition (70cl, 46%)

A Welsh single malt from Penderyn, number 10 in its Icons of Wales series. It is named after the song Yma O Hyd, which Welsh football fans adopted as an anthem, and was bottled in partnership with the Football Association of Wales as the official release for Wales at the 2022 World Cup. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky has a finish in American rye whiskey casks. The nose is floral, with bakery spices, toffee, caramel and baked apples and pears. On the palate come sweet caramel, sultanas, cinnamon-baked apple, pepper and oak spice with a touch of ginger and cloves. The finish is caramel sweetness with herbal notes and peppery spice.
