A Pinot Bianco from Alto Adige, made by Ritterhof. It opens with golden apple and pear, alongside floral notes and a hint of citrus peel. The palate is fresh, supported by lively acidity and a pleasant savouriness, with a clean, persistent finish and a light mineral streak. It suits an aperitif or light seafood dishes, shellfish, butter-based pasta and grilled vegetables, and also pairs with soft cheeses. Serve chilled, not ice-cold, and drink young for freshness, though it has enough substance to reward a few years in bottle.
