Pinot Nero Oltrepo Pavese DOC Noir Mazzolino

Pinot Nero Oltrepo Pavese DOC Noir is a red wine from Mazzolino. After manual harvest, fermentation follows the traditional vat method with destemming, whole berries and pre-fermentative maceration with punch-downs. It ages for 12 months in pieces borgognotte. The colour is intense ruby red with garnet hints. The nose offers ripe red berry fruit such as raspberry and strawberry, with spicy and woody notes. The palate is silky yet dense, with well-fused acidity and noble tannins, leading to a harmonious finish with red fruit and spice. It pairs with meat, game, red-fleshed oily fish and aged cheeses.
