Plantation Barbados 2011 2022 Maury Cask XO is a single cask aged rum from West Indies Rum Distillery, distilled from molasses using pot and column stills and bottled at 48.1% vol in a 700 ml bottle. It was aged tropically for four years in bourbon casks, then continentally for six years in Ferrand casks, and finished for nine months in a Maury wine cask. Ester 130, VC 185, dosage 4 g.
The nose is rich and deep, with raisin, dark cherry, pomegranate, orange zest and coffee. The palate is round, with dried fruits, blackberry, roasted nuts, spices, gingerbread and cocoa.
