Aged rum from Barbados, distilled in 2014 at West Indies Rum Distillery from molasses using pot and column stills. It matured for six years in American bourbon casks, then two years in Ferrand casks and one year in French Muscat wine casks. Bottled at 47.9% ABV in a 700 ml bottle, this is single cask number 9. The nose is fruity and honeyed, with acacia and broom, citrus fruits, apricot, tobacco and liquorice. The palate is rich and oily, with beeswax, tropical fruits, hazelnut and lightly aniseed notes.
