Plantation El Salvador 2015 2023 Ingenio pdcr Finish XO single cask Rum (70cl, 48.8%)

A single cask rum distilled at Ingenio la Cabanna from sugar syrup and molasses on a column still. It matured for five years in American bourbon barrels in its country of origin, then for two years in Ferrand casks and one year in Pineau de Charentes Rouge casks at Maison Ferrand. This is cask number 23, with esters 35, VC 86 and dosage 6. On the nose there are papaya, nutty notes, a little vanilla, lightly sweetened condensed milk, cappuccino, hazelnut, lemongrass, strawberry and tonka bean. The palate is fruity-sweet with gentle vanilla, pleasant acidity, subtle spice, dulce de leche, pistachio, dark chocolate, plum, tropical fruits, raspberry and pepper.
