Plantation Jamaica 2012 Clarendon Calvados cask #4 single cask Rum (70cl, 50.8%)

A single cask rum from Clarendon Distillery, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2023. It is made from molasses and distilled in pot and column stills after seven days of fermentation. The rum spends five years in American bourbon casks in its country of origin, five years in Ferrand casks and one year in Calvados casks. It has no dosage. The nose shows light Jamaican rum notes, tropical fruit, cooked apple, lime zest, pear juice, pineapple, star fruit, cooked banana, jasmine and vanilla. The palate follows with fresh, oily herbs, tropical fruit and lacquer, with subtle Calvados notes.
