Plantation Multi Island 2021 PdC XO is a single cask aged rum distilled from molasses using pot and column stills, with origins in Cuba, Fiji, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, Panama, Haiti, St. Lucia, Reunion and Nicaragua. It was aged for several years in American bourbon casks, then several years in Ferrand casks, and finished for eight months in Pineau des Charentes Blanc casks. Ester 51, VC 157, dosage 20 g.
The nose shows dried exotic fruits, overripe pineapple and smoky notes. The palate has a fruity sweetness reminiscent of canned pineapple, with vanilla and candied fruit.
