Plantation Panama 2008 2022 wPdC XO Rum (70cl, 46.4%)

A single cask aged rum from Panama, distilled in 2008 and bottled at 46.4% ABV in a 700 ml bottle. Made from molasses, it was fermented for two to three days and distilled in a column still. It spent twelve years in American bourbon casks in its country of origin, then one year in Ferrand casks and seven months in White Pineau des Charentes casks at Maison Ferrand. The nose is floral and fruity, with lilac, lime blossom, wine blossom, apricot, peach, plum, honey, almond and vanilla; the palate is fresh and sweet, with orange, fig, quince, hazelnut, cinnamon and pepper.
