Planteray Barbados 2018 Saint Estèphe Cask Rum (70cl, 50.6%)

Planteray Barbados 2018 Saint Estèphe Cask is a single cask rum from Barbados, distilled from molasses at West Indies Rum Distillery. It was aged for three years in bourbon barrels, then finished for two years in Ferrand casks and one year in Saint Estèphe casks. The rum is bottled at 50.6% vol in a 700 ml bottle. The nose offers red wine aromas, preserved sour cherries, brioche and pastry-like sweetness. The palate has finely integrated but pronounced fruit acidity, with vanilla, apricots and sweet cherries, and the finish is long-lasting.
