Planteray Extreme No. 6 is a Haitian rum from Barbancourt sugar cane juice, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2026 as part of the Legends of Rum series. It is a single cask rum limited to 816 bottles, with 19 years of tropical ageing in Bourbon casks and one year of continental ageing in Ferrand casks.
The nose is rich and complex, with dark chocolate, oak, fresh cane juice, lime peel, lemongrass, caramelised banana, soursop and subtle spice. The palate is dry yet velvety, with liquorice, honey, dark chocolate, green tea, lime, banana, tonka bean, toasted almond and light salinity. The finish lingers with cocoa, ripe banana, honey, apricot, clove and gentle vegetal saltiness.
