A limited edition 12 year old Islay single malt from Port Askaig, bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle and non-chill-filtered. The Autumn Edition is a vatting of nine refill American oak hogsheads, five oloroso sherry butts and three solera sherry butts made from American oak.
The nose moves from crumbly Wensleydale cheese with cranberries to smoky bacon crisps, cherry liqueur and boiled Christmas pudding. The palate has juicy red grapes, smouldering wood chips, dried seaweed and hawthorn berries. The finish is salty and spicy, with Tabasco and smoked chipotle, berry tea and stewed plums.
