Port Askaig 15 Years Old (50.5%)

A 15 year old Islay single malt from Port Askaig, released as a limited batch made up of 30 refill hogsheads, each matured for at least 15 years. It comes from a distillery on the island's north coast and is bottled at 50.55% ABV. The profile is robust and oily, layered with earthy smoke, tobacco, spicy flowers and molasses. The nose offers toasted vanilla, honeysuckle, citrus-edged sea salt and peaty smoke. On the palate there is brown sugar, tobacco and floral lemongrass, and the finish brings sweet melon and molasses.
