Port Askaig 8 Year Old is a peated Islay single malt bottled by Specialty Drinks at 45.8% in a 75cl bottle. It was matured in refill American oak casks and is bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose shows light peat, ozone and faint medicinal notes, turning saltier and spicier with time. On the palate there is woodsmoke, kippers, grapefruit and lime, and the finish is sweet as the smoke recedes.
