Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from 100% Scottish barley, and it was distilled, matured and bottled on Islay.
The spirit is trickle distilled through tall, narrow-necked stills.
The nose has dry earthy smoke, sea salt, vanilla custard, golden caramel and bright citrus. The palate is oily and soft, with barbecue smoke, coconut, lemon honey, smoked oysters and warming oak spice. The finish is long, with peat ash, dark fudge and soft tropical fruit.
