Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 10 Year Old is a single malt from Bruichladdich on the Isle of Islay, introduced in 2018 as the flagship Port Charlotte expression. It is peated to 40ppm and drawn from first-fill and second-fill American whiskey casks together with second-fill French wine casks.
The nose brings salted caramel brownie, flamed orange peel and a hearty hit of seaweed. On the palate, oaky smoke and salty sea air sit alongside Custard Cream biscuits and white grape. The finish offers ginger snaps, rye toast and drying peat smoke.
