Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2013 is an 8 year old heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich, made with barley grown on Islay. It was distilled in 2013 and matured for eight years.
The nose brings peat smoke, maritime notes and malt, balanced by citrus and fruit. Powerful smoke on the palate comes with sweet malt, fruit, spice and coastal salinity, and the whisky keeps its freshness and complexity. The finish is long, smoky and distinctly maritime.
