An 8 year old Port Charlotte from Bruichladdich, distilled from Concerto barley in 2011 and released in summer 2021. It is heavily peated, at 40ppm, and was bottled at cask strength, 56.1%.
It was made from two batches of first fill American oak casks, both finished in Pauillac red wine casks from Bordeaux. One batch was six years old and finished for two years. The other was seven years old and finished in second fill Pauillac casks. The two were then vatted together.
