Powers John's Lane 12 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whisky from a 2016 release. It was matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and an Oloroso sherry butt, and is bottled at 46%.
On the nose there is toasted wood, honey, cloves, vanilla and warm cereal. The palate is full and rich, with toffee, dark chocolate, spices, dried fruit, toasted oak and a hint of sherry sweetness. The finish is long, spicy and warming, with soft sherry influence.
