Primitivo del Salento IGP 12 e mezzo - Varvaglione (12.5%)

A red wine from Varvaglione, made from Primitivo grapes grown in Salento under IGP rules. It has an intense ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as plum and cherry, with sweet spice and a light vanilla note from ageing in wood. On the palate it is balanced, with good structure, soft tannins and well-integrated acidity, leading to a pleasant persistent finish. The moderate alcohol level suggested by its name makes it suitable for grilled red meats, aged cheeses and robust Mediterranean dishes.
