A red wine from Varvaglione, made from Primitivo in the Manduria area. It has an intense, deep colour and a rich, complex nose with ripe red fruits, plums, spices and a light hint of tobacco and chocolate, from maturation in wooden barrels. On the palate it is full-bodied and enveloping, with balanced tannins and integrated fruity, vanilla and spicy tones, ending in a long, persistent finish.
It pairs with red meats, robust dishes and aged cheeses.
