Primitivo di Manduria DOP Papale Oro from Varvaglione is a dense, refined red wine celebrating the Primitivo grape grown in Puglia. It has a deep ruby colour with violet hints at the rim. The nose is intense and complex, with ripe red fruit such as plum and cherry, plus vanilla and sweet spice from barrique ageing.
On the palate it is robust yet elegantly balanced, with a velvety texture and well-integrated tannins. The finish is persistent with a pleasantly spicy aftertaste. Serve at 18°C.
