Probably Orkney's Finest is an Island single malt from Orkney, distilled in 2015 and bottled as an 8-year-old by Douglas Laing in 2023 for its Provenance Coastal Collection. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%. The whisky was drawn from a single refill sherry butt, which gave 791 bottles. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The nose shows cocoa powder, then earthy, damp oak with a hint of sea salt. On the palate cinnamon, brown sugar and juicy plums are balanced by a coastal, maritime quality. The finish brings more spice with salted caramel.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
