This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Pulteney, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled on 27 May 2008 and bottled on 19 February 2021 at 56.2% ABV, without added colouring or chill-filtration.
It spent just over nine years in refill bourbon barrels, then 31 months finishing in a fresh sherry butt. Cask number 4 produced 695 bottles.
The nose offers dark fruit, toffee, spice and light maritime notes. The palate is full, with nuts, sherry fruit, oak and spiced sweetness. The finish is long, dry and strong, with cocoa, oak and dark fruit.
