Pulteney – 16 Year Old Brighton Whisky Weekend Exclusive

This is a 16 year old Pulteney, from the far north of Scotland, bottled from a single cask for the Brighton Whisky Weekend. The nose is full of tropical fruit, with bubble gum, jelly babies, ripe mango, overripe pear and a hint of piña colada. The palate is chewy and sweet, with pineapple jelly sweets, a strong note of oak, and a return of the coast with something like a deep-fried Mars bar. The finish is long, clean and coastal, with vanilla and a gentle briny warmth.
