A 12 year old Highland single malt from Pulteney, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Cask Strength Collection. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 55.8% ABV.
The whisky was distilled in 2008 and matured in refill Bourbon barrels. It was then finished for 33 months in a fresh sherry butt and bottled in 2021. The bottling is one of 652.
The nose is full of Christmas character, with buttery puff pastry, roasted chestnuts, sweet honey and cinnamon. The palate has dried orchard fruits, baking spices and salted caramel, and the finish is of toasted nuts, butter and more baking spices.
